Prayers for Special Intentions
If you wish to request a special prayer for someone who is sick, has a chronic ailment, going to have surgery, or has a special intention that needs prayer, please contact Fr. Joe at the parish office 438-9941.
For confidentiality reasons, the person, a family member, or a guardian must make the name request. Request for prayer can be for anyone, not just parishioners. We will publish names only—not the reason for the prayer—in the bulletin.

The Benton/West City Ministerial Alliance is once again collecting school supplies for Benton area schools. A basket is set up by the blletin board for the donated supplies. Monetary donations may be sent to: Ministerial Alliance, P. O. Box 934, Benton, IL; please earmark the check for school supplies. Please bring the supplies by September 5.
We remember our children -- grade, high, college students, teachers, and administrators -- as they begin a new school year. We support them with our prayers and good words!
Our sympathy is extended the family of
Emile Calonne who passed away last week. A funeral mass was held at St. Paul’s in
Johnston City. Mr. Calonne was the father of Linda Bandy and grandfather to Pam Bennett and Kevin Calonne of the parish.
